Lake Stubenberg lies in the Apple Land, the heart of the Eastern Styria region. It is much more than just a bathing lake! Whether young or old, everyone finds their place here at the 40 ha lake. In addition, Lake Stubenberg is known as one of Austria’s warmest bathing lakes. The little ones enjoy themselves on the family beach, explore the sunken pirate ship, make friends in the giant sand playground or whizz down the 60 m slide into the refreshing water. Older ones brave the diving tower, practice their serve on the beach volleyball court or have a go at stand up paddle boarding. Daredevils can be found diving from the rocks by the buzzing eastern shores and those looking to relax will find a quiet spot on the south bank.
All those who visit Lake Stubenberg should take to the 3 km circular trail around the lake on foot, by bike, roller skates, Segway or pedal car, to name but a few options. The paved path offers ideal conditions for little ones to brave their first bike ride without stabilisers. The leisurely circuit also makes for a great family walk, with or without buggy! Pedal boats must not be missing at the lake, of course, and the two amusement parks are great places to play, even when it’s not swimming weather. And with miniature golf, a high rope course, go-carts, carousels and plenty more, there are hours of fun to be had here.
Those who love boats will enjoy a 1.5 hour electric boat cruise around the lake, on which they will learn more about the region surrounding Lake Stubenberg. Throughout July and August, day guests with a valid lake admission ticket can join the cruise free of charge from 4 pm! So it’s "ship ahoy" and off to explore the waters and the two mooring points, Stonis Steirer Platzl and Café Seestern.
You are spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out at the lake. More than 15 establishments cater for visitors, offering a wide range of options. From refined 4-course dinners to traditional Styrian cuisine and quick bites, you will always find what you’re looking for here. End a relaxing day by the lake on a local terrace where you can catch the final rays of sun.
Lake Stubenberg is not just Styria’s warmest bathing lake, but also one of its most popular leisure destinations. Spend an unforgettable family day filled with variety by Lake Stubenberg. Games, fun and all kinds of experiences are guaranteed!
